QuarkXpress tips and layout techniques

Quark tutorialsTeaching yourself QuarkXpress (not Express) has never been an easy task. By its very nature Quark is not an easy program to learn. It has its roots in the earliest days of desktop publishing and its interface is built around simulating the traditional graphic design for print paradigm.

Indeed, this authenticity has been one reason for its success. Whilst facing massive challenges from Adobe over the years, Quark have managed to keep their workhorse software program competitive.

Despite losing some ground to InDesign, QuarkXpress has recently reinvented itself with a swaithe of new features, including support for transparency, web integration features and a redesigned user interface.

The QuarkXpress manuals are extensive but, as ever, you can never have too many sources of information, tips, advice or even fully blown tutorials. Using QuarkXpress in a 'real world' graphics environment can always bring new challenges and this is where online sources of information can come in handy.

We will be adding QuarkXpress tips and tutorials to this section regularly to help build an extensive online library of useful lessons and online resources.
