QuarkXpress wins Macworld award

QuarkXpress box
Quark's newly released update to it's flagship graphic design page layout package, QuarkXpress 6.5, has shocked many in the graphic design community by winning the Macworld Editors Choice Award (Eddy). The Eddy was awarded to Quark for being the Most Improved Page-Layout Program. This may come as a shock to many of Quark's long suffering users, who have for, many years, accused the company of having a less than adequate relationship with it's customers.

But this will certainly be much needed good news for Quark, who have suffered as the result of rival Adobe's InDesign package. Quark were late to release Xpress for Mac OS X and were also criticised for a buggy release of version 6 of Xpress. But version 6.5 is being hailed as, finally, the finished product.
