Glossary of web design terminology

Some graphic design jobs don't require designers to delve into the depths of HTML and javascript coding. But some creatives are still keen to get their hands dirty and do it themselves. Here, we explain some of the more common terms used by web site developers.

This is not intended to be a full dictionary of HTML, javascript and server-side development codes and tags. That would be the subject for a different project. The emphasis of this web design glossary is to explain the common terms that a design student or graphic designer, interested in web design basics, would want to know.
