Final Cut Pro 5.1.2

Apple have announced the release of Final Cut Pro 5.1.2, the latest update for the professional video editing software application. This release adds support for certain Canon, Sony, JVC and Panasonic video devices and also provides a number of bug fixes and compatibility updates.

Corel Paint Shop Pro XI

Digital graphics software company Corel has announced the release of image-editing program Paintshop Pro XI. Corel have emphasised Paint Shop Pro's editing tools for digital camera users and ease of use.

Mask Pro 4

Although not actually available until October, onOne Software have announced the forthcoming upgrade of Mask Pro (previously distributed by Extensis) to version 4. New features include built-in video tutorials and Wacom tablet support with pressure sensitivity.

The full version costs US$159.95 and upgrades from previous versions cost US$69.95.
