Media 100 ships version 11 of its HD software editing suite

Media 100 has announced the release of the latest version of its suite of broadcast, post-production and multi-media software tools.

The new versions of Media 100 HD Suit, Media HDe and Media 100 SDe offer a whole swathe of new features to editors. This includes 10-bit uncompressed HD and SD editing capabilities, support for broadcast-quality format conversions and a boost in system performance by leveraging Mac OS X® and AJA Video OEM solutions.

Media 100 claims that the version 11 enhancements will enable Mac OS X users to finish projects faster, using less bandwidth and requiring less storage. The new version also boasts Media 100 interface integration with the Boris FX compositing and effects technology.

Other new features in version 11 of Media 100 include;

• Added audio support, embedded SDI audio
• Support for compressed HD, enabling Editing Native HD
• Hardware-based 1080-to-720 or 720-to-1080 cross conversions
• Expanded codec support. Support for uncompressed 10-bit and 8-bit 4:2:2; DVCPro, DV, JPEG B, codecs.

Media 100 NLE systems start at US$2495.
