Microsoft's Expression Suite – interactive design tools

Microsoft have announced new preview releases from its forthcoming suite of interactive graphic design tools – Microsoft Expression Interactive Designer.

We reported on Microsoft's release of Acrylic (now known as Expression Graphic Designer) in 2005.

It now seems that Microsoft is pushing ahead with steps into the professional graphic design market with the addition of Microsoft Expression Interactive Designer (formally known as Sparkle) to its suite of interactive design tools – Microsoft's Expression Suite.

Microsoft's Expression Suite contains of a number of interconected creative tools, including; Expression Graphic Designer (a collection of vector and pixel-based tools), Expression Interactive Designer (a Flash style multimedia tool) and Expression Web Designer (a standards-based Web design and development tool).

Parts of the Microsoft Expression Interactive Designer suite of tools is available as a Community Technology Preview (CTP) and is avilable for download from the Microsoft web site.
