Indesign plugins for layout designers

Design layout software developer, DTP Tools, releases two new InDesign plugins.

Design software such as QuarkXpress, Photoshop and InDesign are great, as far as they go. But the basic install of these programs is often just the beginning.

There is always something that is lacking, or that could enhance or change the way that designers and graphic artists work with a graphics application. That's where plugins come in.

Rewriting history

Choosing 'Edit Undo' is fine for many simple actions. But most layout designers will have been at the stage where we suddenly realise that we've taken a step (or a dozen) too far. That's where the History plugin from DTP Tools fills the gap.

By applying a feature that Photoshop users will be familiar with, the History plugin for InDesign allows users to go back to various stages of the creative process and pick a saved version of the design. The latest release, version 2.1, also includes version management and version thumbnail resizing.

The History plugin is a serious time saver and could prove vital in one of those late night concept sessions. Who says you can't rewrite history?
