Graphic arts newsDisney buys movie animation studio PixarWorld famous animation and movie company Disney, has agreed to acquire Steve Job's Pixar 3D animation company. Pixar, which is famous for cutting edge 3D animation movies such as Toy Story, Bug's Life and The Incredibles, will båring to Disney it's unique technological skills and creative talents. The emerging dominance of 3D animation technology is something that Disney has struggled with in recent years. At the same time, its rivals have surged ahead with cutting edge animated 3D computer graphics. Disney already has a distribution agreement with Pixar and it it here that they have had most of their success in recent years. On its own, Disney's first computer generated film, Chicken Little, which was released in November 2005. The deal will make Steve Jobs, also Apple's CEO, the single largest shareholder in Disney.
