Adobe Design Achievement Awards, 2006

Adobe design awards

Graphic software giant Adobe has announced that it is time, once again, for entries to its annual Design Achievement Awards.

The Adobe Design Achievement Awards were created to reward design students who have excelled in their particular creative fields. The key element of the awards is to showcase the convergence of technology and design arts.

The awards honor talented and promising student graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, animators, digital movie-makers and graphic artists from the world's top design schools and universities.

The Adobe Design Achievement Awards are divided into nine categories and are open to students at post-secondary educational institutions in 24 countries around the world. The top prizes include US$5,000, a trip to attend the awards ceremony itself in Toronto, Canada, Adobe software products and tours of to studios.

Entries must be submitted by April 28, 2006 and the awards will be announced on July 20, 2006.

Adobe produce some of the most popular and widely used graphics tools in the design and publishing industry, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat. Adobe recently announced the takeover of rival design software publisher Macromedia.
